I ran out of sweet chillis sauce (during coronavirus) and made this from the stuff in my kitchen cupboards. It was brilliant. I won't be buying the ready made stuff ever again.
And its so so easy
Chuck the following in a saucepan and then bring it to the boil.
80 ml Rice vinegar
80 ml rice wine
80 ml water
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp ginger
tsp soy sauce
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp of sriracha
100 grams of cane sugar
once you have the liquid boiling
add 2tsp of cornstarch to thicken.
then cool and place in air tight container , ready to use.
