Chinese Chicken tasting like it does from the takeaway

This is so tasty - I cook it a lot and I also change some of the ingredients frequently, but this is the basic recipe. You can swap the chicken for prawns, or peppers for mushrooms, or the coriander for Thai basil..... anyway all combinations are yummy.

Ingredients (for 4 people)



4 x Chicken thighs boneless (I bought them with bones by mistake!)

2 x red peppers

5/6 spring onions

ginger 3 inch piece

6 x garlic cloves

3 x tbsp soy sauce

3 x tbsp Chinese rice wine

3 x tbsp recap manis

bunch of coriander

tbsp of corn flour

tbsp sesame oil


method


In a large pan and on a medium heat put the sesame oil in with the garlic.

30 second later add the ginger. string occasionally. leave to cook and realise the flavours for two minutes.

Add the diced chicken and cook for 10 mins

then add the chopped peppers and spring onions for 3 mins.

sprinkle with the corn flour and stir

add the soy sauce, the recap manis and the rice wine.

stir and cook for 5 mins.

Add the coriander for 2 mins and keep stirring.


add some black pepper. stir.


Then serve with rice



sprinkle sesame seed to make it look pretty :o)
